A Woman That Prays

Title: A Woman That Prays

Women play a very important role in Christianity. One can say women are the backbones of churches and families. In some of my previous writings, I talked about the virtuous woman.  No matter what is going on in the life of a Christian, she always prays for her family. Through her tears, she cries out to God to strengthen her as she carries the burdens of her husband and children if she’s married with children.

As her husband is the sole provider, she bathes him in prayer as he faces the world
.  A woman that prays does so unselfishly; she pushes and turns her plate down; she stands in the gap for her family.  Often times, this minority is misunderstood, mistreated and worst of all called everything under the sun. Looking at what she endures, she’s a mother before anything else, regardless of her walk with God. She’s quick to act when her family needs her. God created women the way HE did for a reason.

I grew up hearing my mother pray in the mid-night hours, and walking a pacing the floor for her child. Honestly, at 12am and 3am she had to be out of her mind. Was I sadly mistaken! I thank God for having such a mother that prays! It taught me how to pray and how to go to God with all my problems. I urge all that reads this to re-examine where you are spiritually. God is a jealous God and desires to have a relationship with each of us, but will not force HIMSELF on us. A woman that prays not only prays for her, but she prays for others.  Prayer is always free! This is not to bash anyone’s belief, but as for me in my house we will serve the Lord!

Witnessing a woman that prays in motion was indeed a sight to see. Things changed and the atmosphere shifted, looking back on it now. As a mother, we train up our children in the way they are to go. Proverbs 22:6 clearly instructs us on how it is to be done. When children grow-up and leave the comfort, one would like to call it grace and safety.  In a world of heartache, bitterness, shame and much, children find themselves going back to the one thing that was instilled in them and that is prayer. The power of prayer can move mountains.  I really appreciate God for giving me a mother, a WOG (WOMAN OF GOD) that knew how to pray. A woman that prays can pray life back into a person.  Take a look at the picture that goes along with this story, she never looked up from her kneeling position, with everything else in the world going on around her. This woman is focused on God and not her situation. Right now at this point she’s looking for God to answer her prayer. Her husband knows that she has his back, and she knows that he’ll protect her with his life. That is indeed how God intended for it to be. A WOMAN THAT PRAYS IS THE ENEMIES WORST NIGHTMARE!
