In Your Community Service Competition
It Pays to Volunteer! Ever wanted to make a difference in the world but didn’t know how or where to begin? Do you have a heart to give and good hands to help? Dream Pathways, a social enterprise and magazine has several community service opportunities for youth and young adults living across the US. Each opportunity is chalk full off rewards and benefits that include the following:
-A greater sense of self. Giving back to the community in which you live will not only help other people but will also make you feel good about yourself. Knowing that you have the power to change things around you empowers you to be bold and courageous. It separates you from the norm and allows you to stand out from amongst the rest.
-Leadership Skill Building. Taking initiative in your community is a bold challenge. Who knows? You may be the first person in your neighborhood to act on changing the community for the better. When people see you doing good and helping out, it will motivate them to follow in your footsteps.
